Beginning this year, Kornelis has obtained the certificate FSSC 22000 (ISO 22000 + PAS223) for Food Safety Management System.

Not only for 2013 but for the next three years, Kornelis will be the main sponsor of ‘Kopje Cultuur’. This yearly event is full of cultural activities and takes place in the second weekend of September (13th ,14th and 15th September 2013) at various locations in the center of Steenwijk. Visitors can enjoy an extensive program performed by national and international street artists and cultural institutions from Steenwijk.

Kornelis offers amazing new liner technology where product freshness and consumer safety are paramount. Thanks to the company's advanced manufacturing techniques, the liners not only offer consumers tamper evidence, they also allow companies to use less materials more quickly, saving both time and money.

In 2012 Nedvang organized a competition. Of the 79 submissions for sustainable packaging Kornelis is one of 10 nominees to be eligible for this award.

Kornelis has introduced a new syrup cap to its already wide array of closure options. The new cap is extraordinary in that sense that it genuinely provides the consumer with a non-drip solution for sticky liquid products.

Kornelis will be in attendance once again at easyFairs' Packaging Innovations show in Warsaw, taking place the 14th through the 15th of March.

Once again we've designed a cap where the benefits will be instantly apparent to companies yet fairly transparent to consumers. The new bi-injection cap takes advantage of cutting edge manufacturing techniques to create a one piece, snap on, flip top closure.

Larger, dry products that need to be adequately sifted for use now have a new ally in the war on lumps. Our new rotating sprinkle cap features two apertures for the easy dispensing of powder products, with one of the sides being a sifter for ensuring the product is aerated and dispensed lightly, to avoid the formation of lumps in liquids.

At first glance, our new 63mm sprinkle caps seem to be standard items, the sort you might find on just about any herb or spice product in your local supermarket. It's a new product for us, but one that clients have been clamouring for for quite some time. Our version of the tried and true two-sided sprinkle cap is a bit improved, though.

After the successful introduction of our lightweight closures range, the existing E-cap range will be upgraded. All caps in the range will be available for in-mould labelling also, a beautiful opportunity to communicate with the end consumer!

The new E-cap by Kornelis is 30% lighter than traditional caps and is, therefore, more cost-effective to produce. More important is the environmentally friendly aspect of the light weight cap: less energy to produce, less raw materials, less waste and reduced transportation costs.

Kornelis has developed an 82mm-wide cap, complete with engraving, for Dutch deep-frying oil producer Remia. In the cap, Kornelis has inserted an aluminium- cardboard induction liner to guarantee tamper evidence and reclosability of the product.
